Gracias.

Three years ago I went for the first time Serrania de Cuenca. I went to visit this place, once again, about two months ago, as you can see here. Although there are spectacular places in the Spanish territory (such as the Pyrenees, the Peaks of Europe, etc..) this is my favorite spot. When I'm there, I feel like my batteries are full. I'm happy, active, inspired, sociable and sensitive. I am connected. I know it sounds a bit strange and mystical ... but surely you know what I mean. Everyone, at some point, have felt a special connection to a place, and with all that it offers. Sure you remember a moment of peace, spontaneous joy, a certain nostalgia when you come backEvery time I come back from this place I feel like I'm alive. It is an inner certainty, a resounding truth.

All these feelings are concentrated in a particular location: The abandoned Blacksmith estate. I saw it for the first time by accident. It is an abandoned house in a valley surrounded by forest. Nearby there is a river bench with its constant music. We stopped the car to see it and when I got closer I felt an overwhelming euphoria. Everytime I revisit it I get the same feeling. That's my house. I think of it often, I do some remodelling to the space in my mind, I rebuilt it, I rehabilitate it. This is so true that I even made a folder on Pinterest with things I would put in that house ...

This is not a romantic feeling of an idealized vision of rural life. I think if I had the opportunity to be the manager of this space I could create a sustainable meeting place for learning and enjoying nature with every single of its pleasures and also resposabilities. I would make the effort to build a welcoming house for artists searching for inspiration, for groups of botanists, biologists, for athletes and hikers, for anyone who needs an inspiring place to make decisions, develop an activity, etc..

The restoration of this place is my dream, my project.
I wanted to share it with you, so I never let it fade and keep believing on it.

Thank you.

Hola! me gusta mucho tu blog. He visto este post y me he sentido identificada. Mucha suerte!
