Cute Cats

Que nos gustan los gatos no es ningún secreto... vivimos con dos. Y es precisamente en su honor que hemos diseñando esta nueva serie, llamada Cute Cats. Hay caritas y gatines enteros, resultado de unir la estética japonesa (kawai) y los colores de Frida (blanca), Totó (naranja) y Carbó (un gatito negro de mi infancia).

Dentro de poco los subiremos a La Tienda, por si queréis llevaros alguna a casa.

We love cats... it's no secret! We live with two of them and precisely to honor our little ones we designed this new series of jewelry called Cute Cats. These kitties are the result of combining Japanese aesthetic (kawai) and Frida colors (white), Toto (orange) and Carbo (a black kitten from my childhood).

Soon we will put them in our shop for you to take them home.

Mandarinux en La Fireta de Nadal

Hemos estado trabajando duro para esta nueva edición. Además de los animales habituales, hemos hecho una serie con gatitos y un conjunto de golondrinas, ambos broches de madera.

Queríamos rodear las piezas de un entorno más natural, basado en materiales como los que trabajamos: madera, tela de algodón y detalles recogidos del bosque (musgo, piñas y frutos para hacer una guirnalda).

Aquí podéis ver el resultado. Estamos muy satisfechos, aunque la elaboración ha sido larga pues cada pieza está totalmente hecha a mano, tanto la joyería de madera o las escenas de papel, como los bolsitos y totes. Por eso cada una es diferente y única, porque evitamos los procesos fabriles seriados. 

A partir de mediados de mes vamos a reestructurar La Tienda, con nuevos productos. Pero antes, esperamos veros en La Fireta.

We've been working hard for this new edition. Besides the usual animals, we bring a new series of kittens and swallows, all made out of wood and secret ingredients.

We have built a natural surrounding for our creations. It is based on the materials we use for working like wood, cotton fabric and small details collected from the forest (moss, pinecones and nutshells).

Here you can take a peek at the result. We are very satisfied with it, although each piece takes a very long time to finish. Each of our creations is totally handmade, both jewelry or paper scenes, as well as purses and bags. Each one is different and unique: we avoid serials manufacturing processes.

Later this month we'll rebuilt our store and put some of our new products. But first, we hope to see you at La Fireta.

Gotas de madera

Para hacer compañía a los broches de nubes que ya tenemos en nuestro repertorio, hemos diseñado un par de gotitas de lluvia. Una está contenta porque por fin sale del cielo. Baja a la Tierra en busca de aventuras y nuevos amigos. La otra está un poco desilusionada, le encanta su nube calentita y flotante y no le apetece caer para convertirse en charco, luego en río y finalmente en mar. Una gotita para cada tipo de persona: los aventureros llenos de energía y los amantes del silencio y las mantitas.

To join the cloud brooches we already have in our repertoire, we designed a new set of rain droplets. One of them is glad to finally leave the skies. It comes down to Earth in search of adventures and new friends. The other is a bit disappointed, she loves it's warm and floating cloud and does not feel like falling down to become a puddle, then river and sea. A droplet for every type of person: one for the energetic adventurers and the other for the lovers of silence and blankets.

Cold Mountains

Montañas de madera. Solas o acompañadas, una única cima o una cordillera. Así son los nuevos broches de madera que hemos hecho. Montañas nevadas, serradas, lijadas, pintadas y barnizadas a mano. No hay ninguna igual, a ninguna se le derrite la nieve de la misma forma... un broche que no sólo podemos llevar las chicas. Tal vez algún chaval se atreva y se cuelgue uno de la camiseta. ¡Ahí lo dejamos!

Wood mountains. Alone or accompanied, a single mountain peak or a whole bunch of them. These are some of the new wooden pins we've come up with. Our snowy mountains are sawn, sanded, painted and varnished by us. All are different from each other for the snow never melts in the same way ... this a brooch not only for girls, maybe some boys wil be brave to wear them in their shirts.
