Miguel's family has a traditional house in the middle of nowhere in the Algarve (south of Portugal). It's a place surrounded by fruit trees and fields: orange, almond, fig trees, etc. We spent a few days there falling in love with the quiteness of the countryside, sincere and friendly people, the long walks and swimming in crystal clear and cold waters.

When you come from the city and spend a few days in the countryside, surrounded by nature, you become aware of the passing of time. Our mind abandons the usual routines and there is space for new ideas, new experiences... even parts of oneself left in the background by the speed of city are allowed to come forward. Our stay in the south of Portugal has given us the opportunity to stop, to focus on resting and eating (those wonderful homemade recipes prepared by Isilda, Miguel's grandmother) To observe with a blank mind.

Thanks a lot for those days and nights.
