Rivendel Restobar

 

 

Ayer estuvimos en el Rivendel. Un lugar creado por Julia y Martín durante años de trabajo, ahora es refúgio de amigos y paseantes que entran para mirar a través de sus vitrinas hacia la calle. Sencillo, elegante, discreto y con muy buena música, es uno de esos lugares con personalidad que te muestra varias caras según el momento: un espacio alternativo con mercadillo y objetos de diseño, una pequeña sala de conciertos acústicos, lugar de exposiciones y muestras de artistas locales, salita de proyecciones de cortos y cine mudo... sin olvidar su terraza. 

Montamos nuestra mesita con los animalitos de mandarinux junto a simpaticas vendedoras de ropa vintage y Vikö, una artesana del vidrio que hace unas joyas preciosas. Una persona muy interesante. Me dio la sensación de que es enorme... que tiene un mundo interior extenso. Gracias por compartir ese día con nosotros. Fue especial.

Días como los de ayer nos hacen crecer, no porque ocurran acontecimientos extraordinarios ni excitantes, sino por las pequeñas emociones que vives a través de conversaciones y encuentros. Estuvimos todo el día allí entre sus gentes y nos sentimos como en casa. 

Desde aquí, seguimos dando las gracias por la invitación y por poder disfrutar de un espacio tan especial.

Yesterday we were at Rivendel. A place forged by years of hard Julia and Martin's work. Now it is a safehouse for friends and curious who come to look through their windows into the street. Simple, elegant, discreet and with very good music, it is one of those places with personality that show several sides at the same time: an alternative space for a market, exhibitions with design objects, they have acoustic concerts, a space for local artists, a projection room for movies... and last but not least an incredible terrace. 

We prepared our working area with our mandarinux animals and we were right next to vintage clothing vendors and Vikö, an artisan who works with glass and makes precious objects. She is a very interesting person. I got the feeling that she has a huge heart... a vast inner world. Thank for sharing it with us this day. It was very special to me. 

Days like today make us grow, not because of extraordinary or exciting events are occurring, but because small and living emotions arise through conversations and meetings. We were there all day, and we felt at home, something which is not very common. 

From here, we thank Rivendel for the invitation. We enjoyed very much being in this very special space.
