El rescate / The rescue
I love graffiti.
Not those kind of signatures made with a marker somewhere. I mean those murals that appear all out of the blue on an abandoned wall, those that impact you, those that make you think. In the last five years, these kind of graffiti have gained importance in Valencia and there are some artists that I am unafraid to call them genious. Whenever I can, I take pictures of their works because, as we all know, they will disappear without warning, or are replaced by others. This is how they they exist, it is their fate. Their charm.
For a couple of years now, my favorite artist has been Escif. this is not to make him complements or whatever (I have never met him), but I think he is a monster. His style is unique. It's simple, direct and clear. He denounces and leaves subversive images and thoughts printed throughout a city where everyone speaks with fear. His ideas are inspiring.
