Tranvía en Lisboa

Una clienta nos ha pedido que hagamos un teatrito de Lisboa para regalar estas Navidades. Como no habíamos puesto nunca un tranvía, lo hemos incluido esta vez. Porque la verdad es que es un símbolo característico de la ciudad, siempre subiendo y bajando las cuestas que recorren los callejones empedrados. Aquí aparece justamente llegando a lo más alto de una colina, donde un grupo de gatitos subidos a los tejados lo observan.

A client ordered a paper theater of Lisbon. She wanted it for a Christmas gift. We added the famous tram this time. The truth is that it is almost a symbol of the white city, always going up and down the slopes along the cobbled streets. Here it is reaching the top of the hill, where a group of kittens watch from the roofs above.

El papel en la red

Como trabajamos con papel, nos gusta curiosear por internet y descubrir las posibilidades que ofrece este material a través del trabajo de otras personas. 

Os enlazamos un par de cosas: KNOT Magazine, una preciosísima revista con mil ideas y los NaniBird, unos pajaritos diseñados por diferentes artistas que puedes descargarte, imprimir y montar gratuitamente para decorar tu casa.

                 

We like working with paper. So we ended up browsing the internet to discover different projects that other people present. 

I put some links of a few new things: KNOY Magazine (with a thousand precious ideas) and NaniBird (little birds designed by different artists which you can download, print and assemble freely to decorate your home).

 

Las personitas de papel de Liam Stevens

 

¡Acabamos de descubrir el trabajo de Liam Stevens y estamos encantados! Es un artista polifacético que trabaja principalmente el papel haciendo collages, dibujos, construcciones abstractas...

Pero lo que nos vuelve locos es su animación llamada "Waiting". Ya sabéis que nos encanta construir mundos de papel, y el trabajo de este hombre nos parece encantador. Además está inspirada en el Japón feudal, un mundillo que nos atrae desde hace tiempo. Es un poco friky, pero... para qué mentir, si es la realidad ¡ja,ja,ja!

Al parecer está hecho enteramente con dibujos a lápiz recortados. Tardó tres meses en realizarlo. Un crack.

We just discovered the work of Liam Stevens and we are delighted! He is a polyfacetic artist who works primarily making paper collages, drawings, abstract constructions ...

"Waiting" is one of his creations: it drove us absolutely crazy!!! You know we love to build paper worlds...and "Waiting" is just about this. Moreover, this is inspired in feudal Japan, which recently caught our attention...yes, we are aware it's a bit freaky.... ha, ha, ha!

Apparently, Stevens' "Waiting" is made entirely with pencil drawings and it took three months to do it. He is the man!

En la línea de nuestra actual fiebre paperil os mostramos unos cisnes de Shizuka y Miguel.

Los papeles de origami de Shizuka :)

¡Miguel ha estado un mes en París y ha vuelto con un montón de cosas preciosas! no son muy francesas, pero es que la casa donde se ha alojado pertenece a una pareja nipona. Con lo que nos gustan las cosillas del Japón, hemos decidido dedicar este post a los papeles que Shizuka nos ha regalado. Son tan bonitos que os los ponemos todos para que elijáis los que más os gusten.

Miguel was in Paris for one month and brought back lots of lovely things! they are not exactly french stuff, but he stayed in with a japanese couple that made him really nice gifts. We decided to dedicate this post to a set of origami paper that Shizuka (and Léo) offered him. They are so beautiful that we have included them all so you can choose the ones you like the most.
